Ok, I have never built a pc before, but I'm looking to get a new one soon and I'm feeling like building will give me the best bang for my buck. I have very limited experience installing any type of pc hardware, but i'm a quick learner when it comes to technology and it seems like there are great resources on the internet (including this site). I'm looking to do some gaming on it, not Crysis but Skyrim when it comes out this year. I've selected some parts on newegg, but I am definitely open to suggestion or critique. I prefer to deal with reliable manufacturers and parts that won't give me a ton of trouble. Also, I have a tv tuner in my current HP that I would like to put into the new system if possible.

Approximate Purchase Date: This week or within a month or two

Budget Range: $700-1000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Internet Surfing, Occasional TV watching

Parts Not Required: Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor - I'm using a new LG 23' 1080p

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com or amazon.com

Country of Origin: USA

Parts Preferences: I'm leaning towards an AMD cpu for cost effectiveness. I don't really want to spend the bulk of my money on a processor, as I am looking to upgrade to bulldozer when it comes out. I'm very open to suggestion on everything else, just really want reliability.

Overclocking: Probably over my head

SLI or Crossfire: Wasn't planning on it

Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080

Additional Comments: Want to move my current tv tuner over to my new system if possible.

This is what I picked out on newegg. I tried to read reviews and make good selections, but definitely open to suggestion.

I'm a complete noob to this, so if I made a stupid choice somewhere or left something out, try not to be too harsh on me. I look forward to any advice :)

Cut the ram down to 2x4GB since the triple channel kit selected is meant for LGA1366 Intel systems (8GB is plenty for gaming). Other than that looks reasonable and you have got an AM3+ board so you are Bulldozer ready when they release.
If you are going to overclock add a after market cooler like CM 212+ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

You have an IDE drive up there....you want SATA and not IDE. Also with that psu you have...it's not really enough for two of those cards, yet it's over kill for a single one of those cards. For one of those cards look at the Antec TGH 520w on sale at newegg, for two of those cards look for a 750w psu.

Here's an Intel build worth checking out. It allows you to over clock yet doesn't break the bank. That and nobody knows if Bulldozer is going to be a hit or a flop.
