Download good, No upload

I recently connected my basement computer with a 80' ethernet cable. Finally got it to work, ran the speedtest - download is wonderful, however when it comes to upload it just freezes....and gives me nothing....I tried the cable on my laptop and upload worked fine, so that excludes cable being bad. I reinstalled my network drivers and it seemed to have fixed the problem, yet after running a couple of speedtests I get the same no upload result. Any ideas or thoughts are appreciated.
