Hi All, going to build a PC and I just want to validate that the compontents i have selected will work together and there is no magic bullet i am missing:

What it will be for:

Running Virtual machines with Oracle software – for this i need 16GB minimum (jeez!)
Video and Photo editing (HD Video and RAW photos)

Am in Australia and going to order parts in next few days

Thinking this 16GB Ram: G.Skill F3-12800CL9Q-16GBRL (4x4GB) DDR3 PC12800 16GB

This SSD (i'll have a few 2TB drives i will put in for data):
Crucial M4 SSD 256GB

Idea behind this bit bigger one is i can put a 100GB Virtual machine on it or photos i am working on before they get archived onto the mechanical drives

CPU: i7 2600K

Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Pro3 Motherboard B3
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=138_711_1183&products_id=17350

Graphics card: VTX3D Radeon HD6790 1GB
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1226&products_id=17296

just really picked at pretty much random as a mid level card..

CPU Cooler? – would nt have a clue abotu what to get

I already have PSU and case/dvd/monitor etc

If anyone would be about to tell me if this will all work or if i should chnage something that would be great.

thanks

For me actually this midrange graphics card looks as the weakest part in this build. You build a system with a top notch 300$ processor, 16 GB RAM, an SSD, Z68 board etc. and just a decent midrange graphics card? For what you are planning to use this system?

I am going to use the PC for software development on oracle software and also HD vieo editing/photo editing

I dont play games so would say I dont need too much power in that area...

thanks
