I recently upgraded my system to a M5A97 motherboard. Everything else is old hardware. RAM is Corsair tw3x4g1333c9a (4x2) Gigs. CPU is AMD 965 BE. BIOS identifies everything and the timing looks good... but it all works until I load Windows, which goes BSOD at the logo.

Would re-installing the OS do any good?

Thanks

Robert

I solved my own problem by readingthe very well written manual.

That may seem funny but I am too accustomed to poorly written manuals in 12 languages which only skim the important details.

The problem was fixed by going into the BIOS and setting the SATA 1-4 to IDE.

I was then able to boot into Windows.
