Approximate Purchase Date: 2-3 weeks

Budget Range: around $500 before rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: General usage stuff, maybe a little light gaming. Gaming is not a priority at all

Parts Not Required: No monitor or keyboard required. Mouse and windows required.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg

Country of Origin: US

Parts Preferences: by brand or type None

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: Not sure, but it shouldn't matter

Additional Comments: I have some parts here I've been looking at:

Core i3-2105
Asrock H61
4GB RAM
Corsair CX430
1TB Samsung F3
Antec Three Hundred
DVD Burner
Mouse
Windows 7

Total: $536.47 After Shipping

I would like to get the price down some, without really sacrificing performance, if possible.

Thank you!

Corsair normally makes good PSU's, Just not the CX line lots of DOA's
For budget builds I prefer this PSU.

$35 and $2 shipping. Save $10
XIGMATEK NRP-PC Series ACXTNRP-PC402 400W

that ram is overkill. your MB (H61/H67) doesn't support DDR 3 1600 it only supports 1333/1066:
Save $9
G.SKILL NS 4GB (2 x 2GB)

Mushkin Enhanced Essentials 4GB

Case wise. these will save you a few dollars and are nice budget cases:

the rest looks good, not much place to save with out sacrificing performance (HDD or CPU)

+1 on the ram

Another PSU to consider Antec Earthwatts 430W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371034 $44
Another case Thermaltake V3 Black Edition http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133094 $40 with code EMCKBKH23
And there is this dvd & hdd combo http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.696126 but the spinpoint is a more recommended hdd
