Hi guys. I have lately been getting the infamous Pink Screen of Death on my GTX 280 card. But however, I have figured out a (temporary?) fix for this issue, and it is not doing it anymore!
I could boot into Safe mode, and when I did, I ran msconfig.exe and disabled every service except those by Microsoft, and I disabled themes on top of that. And when I booted again, it worked perfectly!
I just wanted to share this because I know many people have been getting this, and if your card is out of warranty like mine, this might just be what you need.
EDIT: I apparently still cannot play any 3D games. So I may still need to get a new card.
My specs for reference:
PNY GTX 280
Intel Core i7 2600K
Corsair Vengeance 1866 8GB
Corsair 750W Modular PSU
Two HDDs - VelociRaptor 300 GB and a random 1.5 TB 5400 RPM HDD.
