Best 6870 for the money

Its a simple question. In your experience, which Radeon HD 6870 is the best card for the money? I play on a 1680 x 1050 resolution monitor (that I am not planning on replacing any time soon) so I know that the pricier( and more expensive) 6950 is a huge overkill for it. So for playing games in very high settings now and in the future (when i plan to xfire these) which is the best 6870 for the money? Overclock-ability is a great plus, so the more i can overclock the card, the better value it becomes.

Let me know what ya'll think is the best one out there. I live in the U.S. Newegg is my prefered site, but anything anywehre will do.

Edit: That or a GTX 560 that I hear can overclock like freaking crazy. Only problem is that I dont think I can SLI them on my ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO in the future.

Btw, system specs:

ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO
Phenom II 4x B50 @ 3.6ghz
4G DDR3 1600Mhz
Nvidia 9800 GT

  1. anyone else have any suggestions?
  2. What PSU do you have? 6870 is the best performance for the price but the next step would be a 6950 or a 560 ti, 2 very powerful cards but of course like extra $50.
  3. GTX560 non-Ti is slower than HD6870 and 6870 OCs better, has better CF scaling, lower power consumption and it's also cheaper. My favorite 6870 is ASUS DCu, it's very quiet and cool all the time and i've seen many people running it @ 1200Mhz core stable!

OCing and SLi, 560 reached 1000Mhz Core (190Mhz from core), and you can OC 6870 to 1200Mhz Core (300Mhz from core). As you can see 560 doesn't get a big improvement from SLi.

Performance summary, take a look at minimums of 6870 and 560 - 6870 has 10% higher minimums than 560! That would make the gameplay a lot smoother.
