I have just done a new build pc with an MSI Z77A-G45 Motherboard which has overclock genie button yet whenever i press it nothing happens, am i missing something else here?

My specs:
Windows 7
i7-3770k - Arctic cooling freezer i30
2x4GB 1866mhz corsair vengeance ram blue
Sapphire Radeon 6870 GDDR5 1gb
X11 Gaming Case

Any help would be appreciated..

Not sure what's gong on, but you should just OC manually anyway. It's not exactly hard for a Sandy or Ivy "K" CPU. There are plenty of guides on the web to help if you need it though, although the basics are just changing the multiplier and voltage (if needed).

An Auto OC like OC Genie will give the CPU A LOT more voltage than it probably needs and also OC's the BCLK a bit, which I don't understand why they do that, since that can actually be harmful.
