  1. Socket LGA775. Is it a genuine Intel motherboard or one from a Gateway computer? The Gateway version only supports Pentium D processors.
  2. thank you, yeah i have a gateway computer. you think i can get a good new processor? or i need a new motherboard..
  3. You need a new motherboard, processor and memory.

This should work, but you might have to do a bios flash...if gateway has an update. Not sure how much of a performance increase you would see, but it is 600Mhz faster

  5. If you want something up to par with today's computer, I suggest don't bother upgrading this old gateway, instead, build a new one with just a little more money.
