Usb 2.0 motherboard with usb 3.0 case

I have an ASRock motherboard with no usb 3.0 connectors and a Corsair Carbide 300 case with 2 usb 3.0 in the front panel. I'd like to use these as usb 2.0 ports while I work on upgrading my system, is that possible somehow?
