I'll take your advice on the hdd's, you are not the first to suggest that.

as for mobo and power, I wanted the ability to add a 2nd card, and did not want to be short. Also, I googled "best mobo for sb2600k", and that is what came up.

I currently do all my cad/rendering off an i7 1.67 laptop, and need to speed up the process.

this will be my first build.

also, just read your how to for advice:

overclocking: maybe Will I need more fans?

will purchase/build within 2 weeks

do not need mouse/keyboard

this will be wired into an 8 port gigabit switch and networked at my house

will look to have 2-3 monitors, I was going to ask in another post about them

I want something that I can upgrade with new technology
