Hello everyone!

I'd like to get some opinions and advice on a system I'm thinking about building soon.

Standard Boilerplate:

Approximate Purchase Date: This week

Budget Range: I'd like to keep it under $1600 US After any available rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: AutoCAD mostly 2D, Photoshop, Music editing/recording, gaming.

Parts Not Required: Case (have a nice Lian li), keyboard, monitor, Video Card maybe (nVidia 7950 GX2, I know, ancient)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Have a good history with Newegg.

Country of Origin: U.S.A.

Parts Preferences: Below is a breakdown of what I've come up with so far.

Overclocking: Yes but nothing extreme

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe in the future

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1200 on a Dell ultrasharp

What I think will work out nicely :

Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus

ASUS P8P67 DELUXE (REV 3.0)

CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB PC1600

SeaSonic X750 Gold 750W PS

Crucial M4 128GB SataIII SSD

1- Caviar Blue 250GB HD

4 - Caviar Black 500GB Drives

2 - ASUS 24X DVD Burners

Windows 7 Pro 64bit

How I'm thinking it should be built:

The MB has 8 SATA ports, 4 SATA 2 and 4 SATA 3 but with split controllers for RAID over the 4 SATA 3 Ports.

SSD & 250GB Drive on two of the SATA 3 Ports.

OS on the SSD and common write files for the OS on the 250 GB Drive. Is this necessary?

The two DVD drives on the other SATA 3 Ports.

The 4 500GB drives on the 4 SATA 2 Ports in a RAID 5 configuration.

Allocate 8GB of the RAM for a Ramdisk for ACAD and PS.

Possibly upgrade my video card, but I realize it might pay to wait and get a better card than a GTX 460 which is what I'm thinking is realistically in the budget.

Thanks for reading!

Please let me know any thoughts or opinions about what my brain is thinking! Sorry if I left out any critical information! Just ask if ya think there's something missing.
