You could spend a lot less on the cpu cooler . The Sandy bridge cpu's run pretty cool anyway

other then that should this build run all games on max settings without a problem and are the 2 6970's the best choice here (price in mind)?

Got to agree cooler is overkill. Coolermaster Hyper 212+ will do a good job for a lot less. You might also look at going with GTX570's. I have the 6970 and while it is not bad I like my friend 570 better. Graphics card envy sucks.

The Noctua beats the Hyper 212+ in cooling in all the tests I've seen and runs quieter. Is it worth the price? I feel like that is an individual decision. I only have noctua fans in my case but some people would prefer not to pay $30 a fan...I, however, think my computer should be seen and not heard.

As for the 570 or 6970...are you planning to run 3 monitors or more? If so, stick with the 6970. Are you into 3d gaming? If so, go with nvidia. With that being said, the 570 also performs slightly better in the benchmarks.

I don't dabble in water cooling but the noctuau12 is a good mix of performance and quietness.

The d14 would be the best.

I have never used a water cooling system, but I have been told that they are pretty noisy. Personally I wouldnt dabble with it and just stick with the good ol' fan cooling.

If you want to save some money, you can probably go for monitors without the hdmi support and by dropping down to 1920x1080i res. That would save you at least 150-200 off the build.

I actually got them at J&R for 170 each but amazon sells them for 180 each.

Remind me again why you are getting 3 radeon cards again? one radeon card can run up to 6 monitors. crossfiring 2 radeon 6950s should give you the ability to max out at all current games on the market.

I think his plan is to run them all in hdmi, since currently the 6950's only have 1 hdmi connector, I would assume thats why he needs 3 of them?

I play on a 23.6" Acer 1080p and boy, If I could support 2 more of these in 1080p hdmi I would be using eyefinity like crazzzzy

I'm confused. You can't run eyefinity with 1 monitor plugged into 1 graphics card. Each of the 3 monitors needs to be plugged into one of the 6950s by using the displayport and hdmi/dvi output.
