Im looking for a mid-tower case to get for a computer I'm building, but I'm having trouble finding the right one. The biggest issue is finding one that will fit a Radeon HD 6950 GPU, which is about 11 to 11.5 inches long. The mobo is a standard ATX and I only have one HDD. I'm looking for something with decent ventilation, and preferably some sound dampening. As far as budget, I'm hoping to spend $50 or less, but I'm a little flexible in terms of price.

Ok so I've read up on some stuff and realized I'll probably also have to look at full towers, so recommendations on those are appreciated too. But again, I'd like to spend under $50 or $60 (if at all possible!).

Why not go for a full tower?

The main issue is price, but I might have to go with one anyway.

^ True.

How much are you willing to spend on a case?

Ideally, $50 - $60 USD, but I'm realizing I'll probably have to shell out more, maybe closer to $100.

$100 would be plenty.

There are some really cruddy cases under $70.

Are you planing on overclocking?

Cooler Master's HAF 912 should be perfect for your needs. It goes for about 60 USD at newegg.com. If you take out one of the removable drive cages your card should fit with room to spare.
Hopefully you'll see this before you make your final decision!

Best of luck,

Will

I'll be running an i5-2500k at 3.3GHz with a CPU cooler and a Sapphire Toxic 6950 GPU at 880MHz with a built in fan and vapor cooling system. The GPU is factory OC'd. And honestly, I'm fine with a cruddy case as long as it functions according to my specifications haha.

So I've decided to go with ihateenglishweather's choice of the CoolerMaster HAF 912. Although it's a bit pricey, I think it offers the most in terms of internal spaciousness, air flow, and sound reduction. Thanks!

^ I agree.

The CoolerMaster HAF's line is very well built. It has good room to fit almost anything, even a little child. I've had good experience with those cases. +1
