Total price £1,287.75

Could you also say if you think this is value for money?
Thank you.

It is all compatible , but some aspects are over kill

You can easily run this computer with a 650 watt power supply . Even that wouldnt break in to a sweat

The case is an odd choice for a video editing computer . Gaming cases are designed for maximum air flow and whiles thats always a good thing , for office work most people would prefer SILENCE so the computer fans dont bug them .
Check out the Antec P183 V3

You are better to use 1600Mhz cl7 or 8 RAM too . That will speed things along a little

My philosophy is: The cheaper the case (Don't make it too cheaper ~$50 is good) the better the components you can put into the case, therefore making your computer run better
AND
A cheaper MoBo could be used because now-a-days the MoBo is just a docking station for all the other parts, an expensive one is not needed
AND
+1 for outlander

future proof means: More RAM, Better CPU, Better GPU (Graphics card) but DOES NOT mean: Better case or a $200+ MoBo (again something that isn't too cheap...)

so, you'll save money and get the same performance if you follow the tips

For wireless card, do you actually need one or does yoru internet service provider provide you with a hub to connect to the home computer? If so, that hub should also allow wi-fi.

tv tuner: you can get whichever one has good reviews but will he be watching tv on his computer?

card reader: does he have any use for this?

anyways, those are my suggestions.
