I need a motherboard for a Phenom II X4 965 BE.
other specs:
powercolor radeon HD 6850
4gb RAM Kingston HyperX DDR3
1 HDD SATA3
Antec HCG 620W

I need a board with only 1 PCI-E X16 slot, i will never do crossfire or SLi because i don't like dual gpu setups and can't afford it anyways.

Did you try to unlock the 4th core?

HOLY S***! That one cots 150$ here lol. And i can't buy from any online stores because in my country that's not feasible. Well what does full featured board mean? I won't overclock or any of that stuff. Just one more thing, that board is ugly lol.

oopsy daisy. I was mistakenly looking at the M5A99X EVO, that one was 150$ and the one you recommended me was 100$ but only 1 problem. No IDE connector on that one and i need it because i still use an old but great DVD RW, i have it since 2006 and still works perfectly like its brand new. I may aswell get the "entry level" one i saw and save up money for a HDD. I mean it would cost a lot more to buy that M5A97 EVO and a DVD drive than to just buy a M5A78L. And what difference will i get if i buy the M5A97 EVO? I don't want to overclock or something like that, i don't even know how to OC

Can you tell me if you know what does that motherboard have that the one i saw doesn't? I'm not a hardcore gamer and will not overclock the CPU.

Well i'm tempted to buy that 100$ motherboard. I can see heatsinks on the VRM's. 140W TDP CPU support. Gonna get an IDE to SATA adapter for my DVD but first i gotta save up some money for the board. But can it unlock cores? I currently have an athlon II X3 445 and i would like to unlock its 4th core.

Hey dude. There are no ASUS M5A97 EVO boards currently in stores here. But i saw a board for the same price. A Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3. Is it more worth waiting for the ASUS one or the gigabyte?
