This is my first build ever and im curious what you guys think about it so far, my budget is 550$, I already have a graphics card Sapphire Radeon HD5670 and a 500W corsair PSU. I am nervous about the parts not being compatable so any assurance would be awesome. I am from Canada.

Cooler Master HAF 912
Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB 7200RPM 6.0GB/s 3.5"
MSI P67A-C43 (B3)
Intel i5 2500k
G.Skill Ripjaw 4GB DDR3 1600

Im not sure about which cd/dvd drive to get so any help on that would be awesome, and I have no clue how to overclock so im not sure if im going to on this computer.

This computer will mainly be used for games like Counter Strike 1.6 and Counter Strike Source, and the other basic computer needs

All your parts are still compatible and a 500 watt psu will run that easily

The problem really is that the graphics card is realitively weak and the cpu is very powerful . This doesnt usually add up to a good gaming computer since most of the workload in gaming is done by the graphics card .

By all means use the gfx card you have , but someday you will definitely want to add a much more powerful graphics card to get the full use of the other components you have selected

Thats probably what that means !

Except I just looked at a pic on the MSI website and it has 8 rear usb 2 and 2 rear panel usb 3

There will also be pins on the motherboard to connect the USB ports on the front of the case as well
