  1. cool story
  2. I know some folks here missed out on the last bunch and I expect these will go fast so that's why I posted the heads-up.
  3. -_- meh
  4. Good call :)
  5. out of stock again. 8150 also.
  6. Do yourself a favor. Just buy a 2500k
  7. but why would anyone be looking for these? Have they not read the reviews? 2500k/2600k is the sane option.
  8. UPDATE: Newegg now has the FX-8150, FX-8120, FX-6100 and FX-4100 ALL in stock as of 11-2-11.

  9. I'm planning on waiting for at least the B3 stepping. It wasn't until the C2 and C3 stepping that the Phenom ii's were what we know them as today.Bulldozer is still in it's early stages.

  10. By now... people are so fed up with this, those are gonna remain in stock for a long time to come. I wonder what the AMD board member are thinking of doing next?

    What about the Llano?
  11. The 8-core FX's are really hard to come by in the UK as well. I hope the retailers don't start rising the prices because of the demand exceeding the supply.
  12. I dont know... is there a demand for the FX processors in the first place?
  13. people will buy what they want to buy.
this thread clearly seems to be for people who want to buy bulldozer. criticizing (however rightful it is) their decision seems useless to me.
why advise them on getting something they're clearly locked on getting?

the demand exceeding the supply - this means amd couldn't didn't make a lot of cpus (production issues, bad reviews). or they just tested the waters by doing a small launch. so it'd seem like fx cpus are selling out or fx cpus have a very high demand. this is not exactly true.
llano cpus (which are good cpus) are suffering from production issues as well afaik.
lack of supply will only let retailers raise fx cpus' prices and make them an even more unreasonable purchase.

    i sure hope so.
the more bd successfully challenges intel the cheaper intel's cpus will get and finally i could buy a 2700k i could afford! :D
  15. Well for the naysayers, Newegg has sold out their latest batch of FX-8150s in less than 24 hours, so there seems to be good demand in spite of the hate.
  16. It's only the 8 cores too.Doesn't seem to be high demand for the 4 and 6 core.

The "hate" is only in your mind, the reality is that there is no reason to wait for an inferior cpu. Just want people to know there are better choices.

  20. People want them sure but the reason they sold out so fast is because AMD's supply plant can't make enough of them for it to stay in stock.
