I'm looking for 2X4 (8 GB total) or RAM. I'm unsure of what RAM I should get. Based on the reading I've done, I believe I should get low profile RAM.
I'll be overclocking to 4.0 Ghz. I'm not doing anything with the RAM or video card though (unless I have to).

Here's the parts I have so far:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I53570K

The COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO is a very good impressive aftermarket cooler especially for the price if he only plans on OC to 4.0GHZ no reason to get the NH-D14 when the EVO gets the job done it's not good for OC past 4.2GHZ though allot on the forum claim it can handle 4.5-4.7ghz with ivy i can personally vouch it's totally false not sure why people tell such stories or what the point or benefit they get out of it but nevertheless it's false i personally test allot of different heat sinks for my work and so far only a few can keep ivy bridge temps decent when OC beyond 4.5GHZ
If your not planing on OC your ram then no point in getting 2133 or 1866 ram as you would need to go into your bios and set it to the correct timings for it to even run right it's not hard to do but if you prefer not to then i would recommend any of these take your pick

Hi, you are spending a lot of money on motherboards and CPU, you should get a high end cooler as well. say Noctua nh d14. Get a low profile ram, not one with tall heat sinks

Decent, not good? From what I understand my processor would make the G.Skill 1600 instead of the 1866. However, I need to manually set it to 1866 in BIOS?
