Server RAM Compatibility

Hello, I recently bought some components to build a very powerful system. However, it will not POST. I am thinking the RAM is not compatible. I have a MSI P67A GD80 B3 motherboard and Kingston 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM. My concern is that since the RAM is ECC registered, it is incompatible with the motherboard.

That motherboard does not support registered memory modules. You need new RAM.

    From the MSI site: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P67A-GD80--B3-.html#?div=Detail

    • Supports four unbuffered DIMM of 1.5 Volt DDR3 1066/1333/1600*/2133*(OC) DRAM, 32GB Max
    - Supports 1GB/ 2GB/ 4GB/ 8GB DRAM size
    - Supports Dual channel mode
