Can I downgrade Power Supply on Dimension 8300 to 250 Watts

Hello,

I have several older Dell Dimension systems and the power supply went bad in my Dimension 8300. It is a 305 Watt power supply and I want to know if I can replace it with a 250 Watt power supply from my Dimension 4300.

It physically fits but is it OK to downgrade this power supply by 55 Watts?

yes as long as you haven't upgraded the video card from the stock one.
