Don't buy a Samsung SC-148 (48x)

This CD is a monster. Although it may spin fast and has a decent transfer rate it's tray is super-sensitive. Just placing a CD in the tray can cause it to close and jam up on a half-in half-out CD. The tray also has non-removeable tabs designed to keep the CD in the tray. This also keeps you from taking the CD out of the tray easily and in turn, you end up bumping the tray and it closes on the CD and it gets stuck again. ARGH! It also closes after about 3 minutes automatically which to me is a pain because sometimes I like having the tray open.
