I have Thinkpad R50E and my AC Adapter is hot - when it load battery. I
think temperature is about 60C. Don't worry I had DELL Latitude and
there was the same, at work I have Acer and same situation.

Uh, no, if the temperature of your AC Adaptor was 60C (140F), you
would know it! You would get burned by touching it.

Just because the cpu is 140° F is doesn't mean the air passing over it will
be 140° F. If you touch the cpu you will get burned. Try 140° F in the
shower some time.
