I have this Emachine laptop that the screen flickers (Its less than a year
old, my 3 year old Toshiba had no problem with the screen). Anywhow, the
screen flicker until I move it up and down then it stops. It has totally
blacked out on me once. Has anyone else experienced this problem? It would
seem to me to be some sort of conntection problem but I am loath to
disassemble this one as I had a hell of a time putting my Toshiba back
together after working on the motherboard.

I had the some problem with mine (emachine m6807) You will need to change
out the ribbon from your motherboard to the screen. It's getting worn out
from the opening and closing of the screen.
At least that was what was wrong with mine.

Hope this helps

Doesn't it has one year warranty come with it??? If so, why not have the
warranty repair done?? As it is pointed out, it could be the LCD cables from the
main board to the LCD, or he inverter or the LCD itself. Anyway you look at it,
why try to fix something yourself when it is still under warranty?
