Hi Guys
Need some quality advice from you brainy lot.
I have an Intel i7 920 @ 2.67GHz with 6GB of DDR 3.
I'm hoping to upgrade my GPU. I currently have an ATI 4890 1 GB, which is awesome but it’s come to that time where I’ve got that feeling in my belly to upgrade.
From my research I have narrowed it down to 3 choices.
GTX 560,
GTX 570
ATI 5950
ATI 5970.
Can the community please help me decide which one of these cards is the best choice? I want a card that will allow me up play all the new games on ultra settings and be future proofed.
Money is not a big issue, but I don’t want to spend more for a GPU where I am not going to see any gaming enhancement from the cheaper cards. This upgrade would solely be for gaming.
Thanks
Qas

The GTX 570 by far the best option. Second, In my opinion HD 6950 2gb, If it was me I'd get that since its like $100 cheaper, and offers great performance. However, if money is not a real issue, the best you can get right now is the GTX 580, Thats definitely future proofed.

Thanks mate.

The GTX 580 is a little out of my price budget. Looking at cards between £200.00 - £300.00 range.

I want a GPU that can play Bad Company 2, Starcraft 2 and Crysis 2 with all the bells and whistles on at 60fps and 1920x1080 resolution

570 should handle that. Starcraft will take much less than the others.
There's no such thing as "future proof."
Incidentally, for that budget you could go SLI 1gb 460s, which would probably be better than all those options.
