I'm looking at a turion based laptop (HP special edition at
http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/ [...] ter_store) (http://tinyurl.com/ddukm) First of all, I'm surprised that they quote
a 2GB RAM update at $475US when Crucial lists RAM for this laptop at
$135/GB.
But the RAM at Crucial is DDR333. Newegg lists DDR400 RAM for a few $$$
more. As near as I can tell, DDR333 is what is speced. Is there any
reason not to go with DDR400? Am I likely to get better performance
from DDR400 or will the laptop BIOS lock RAM speed to DDR333?
