I just built a HTPC, here are the specs:

MB: BIOSTAR A880G+
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz
Drive: ASUS Black Blu-ray Drive SATA Model BC-12B1ST/BLK/B/AS
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL
TV: Samsung P8000 64" Plasma

Blurays play beautifully but when I hit the 3-D on PowerDVD, it looks like its playing in 3-D but when I pair the glasses and look, its not! There are settings in PowerDVD but its seems like I need to be running HDMI 1.4 to use them... Any ideas what I may be doing wrong. The TV does not realize I am trying play in 3-D... Thanks!

I don't have a 3D HTPC but I do have a 3D TV. When you turn the 3D on, does it get fuzzy looking? You said it looks like its playing in 3D but later on you said the TV doesn't realise you are trying to play in 3D. I can tell you right away if its playing in 3D it'll turn fuzzyish on the TV.

If you then put the glasses on and it doesnt go 3D (but the TV is still fuzzy), then you should check your 3D glasses. First, are they even turned on? (I know it's a dumb question but these mistakes do happen). Second, have they been charged/are you sure the charger is working?

It does get fuzzy, the TV isnt going into 3D mode and there are options in PowerDVD to turn on different 3D modes but it needs HDMI 1.4 and the 4250 doesnt have HDMI 1.4... Any ideas?
