Good Case for 100-200 USD

Last response: in Components

corsair 400R/500R
Lancool K63
Antec 902 v3
Cooelr master HAF 922

just to name a few cases. the CM 212+ is not a large cooler and just about every mid tower case for $100 will do the job. Buy the case you think looks cool in your home since the differences in cases at equal price points are very minor.

i am all about future proof i am looking at the HAF X (942) or the thermal take Level 10 GT

Both great cases, well assuming that the **new** (black) Level 10GT is out which matches the Level 10 GT Snow edition. I haven't seen it yet.

Other choices would include the Antec DF-85 ($155) or Antec 1200 V3 ($160)

HX850 is an excellent PSU tho undersized for twin 580's... there's not a single 850 watter certified by vVidia for twin 580's....If thinking you'll never add that 2nd 580, consider twin 900Mhz 560's. The two 560's in SLI will outperform the single 580 by 40% while costing on average $50 less.

With the kind of investment you're making you might want to reconsider basing the entire build on a MoBo with only a 2 year warranty.

Similarly, the 212 is a great budget cooler.....but ya don't usually find a budget cooler in a build with this level of components

$30 - Hyper 212 ($900-1200 build)
$50 - Scythe Mugen 3 ($1300 - $100 build)
$80 - Thermaltake Silver Arrow ($1700-$2500 build)

I think he is saying that since you said you like to future proof you might want to go with a bigger PSU so when preformance isn't where you want it you can just stick another GTX 580 into it if you go with the GTX 580 route and that you would be well set with SLI'ed GTX 560ti's.

I haven't seen a level ten gt but have heard mixed things about it. Honestly I would get a cheaper case (there are many great cases out their between $80-$120 dollars that are amazing) and make your components even nicer. Either way you'd have a great build.

Good Luck

i downgraded my gpu for a cheeper price and got a kingwin 1500W modular

downgrade to this- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... saves you 25$. stick with the pc power and cooling 950w psu. it is a great psu. if you want a gold rated psu i would go with the OCZ ZX 1000w psu- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... . it is also a great psu and it is rated very highly by JonnyGuru- http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=... .

on the matter of cases: i am a fan of silverstone cases. their 90 degree rotation cases are unique and they work very well when paired with their excellent 180mm air penetrater fans. The TJ11 is the best air cooled case on the market but you get a lot of sticker shock at 650$. the FT02 is priced a little better @ 240$-230$ (depends if you want a window or not)- http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias... and is the second best air cooled case on the market. The DF-85 is the third best and it is well priced @ 155$- http://www.amazon.com/Antec-Dark-Fleet-DF-85-Gaming/dp/... . Then you have the RV03 which @ 144$ is worth considering- http://www.amazon.com/Silverstone-Extended-90-Degree-Mo...
