Hey guys. I have recently just built a computer. Heres the specs

Gigabyte 880GM-D2H Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X4 Processor
Patriot Sector 5 DDR3 RAM 4 gigs
LSP 650 Watt Power supply
ATI Radeon HD 6870 Video Card

Okay. Here's the problem. My desktop is fine. No problems.

But when I go to play a game, The screen gets all glitchy. You can see the main parts of the game, but some parts are pixelated and are flashing.

What I want to know is: is my video card too powerful for my mother board?

Is the PCI slot on the mother board not fast enough to support the amount of data being pushed through it?

When I underclocked the card to 775 Mhz it worked great. But when I put it up to half power, it started to get glitchy again.

I hope you guys can help me out!

You are describing what we call "artifacts", image corruption that usually results from your graphics card not being able to operate correctly at the frequency set. Since lowering clock frequency corrects the problem, that is most certainly the case. If your card is producing artifacts at stock frequencies, it's a manufacturing fault, and the manufacturer shoul replace it.
