Hello,

I am building my first PC, could you guys check it over for me to see if it will all be compatible. I currently have the case, SSD and motherboard and have put the motherboard in. I'm not sure how I will be able to put the 2.25" SSD in either?

Setup:

NZXT Phantom Case
Intel i5 2500k
Asrock P67 Pro3 SE Motherboard
Corsair(2x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz XMS3 un-buffered
60GB Corsair Nova Series SSD
Corsair 800W GS Series PSU
Sapphire HD 6670 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
Corsair H50 CPU Cooler

The problem with the SSD is that it is 2.25" but although my case is advertised at having 7 internal 2.25"/3.25" bays, they seem to be far too big. I can't find a way to fit them in.

Any help would be much appreciated

Did your ssd come with a 2.5in to 3.5in caddy? If it didn't you may have to go to the local computer shop to find one, as there are still a lot of cases these days that don't have 2.5 inch hard drive bays :p

OK thanks guys. Any links to where I can find one of those?

And how about the parts, do they all match up OK? I think they should all be compatible but having someone else check would be good.

What's going to be the primary use for this build? You have a 800w psu and a single card board along with a card that won't come even close to calling for that much juice.

Any 2.5" to 3.5" adapter should work. It looks something like this:

There weren't instructions on how to install the 2.5" drives though?

Haha good catch. I was at the airport and missed that part. I second your question.

Mainly for video conversion, rendering and editing. The reason for the 800w psu is expansion. Just incase I wanted to upgrade the graphics card in the future.

If that's the case then your using the wrong board. You want a Z68 board that takes advantage of the on die graphics and Lucid Virtu. Also forget the 800w psu. A 600+w psu will run a gtx 580 which is a power hungry hog.

I regret buying so early now but like I said the mobo, SSD, and RAM are already here. Was mainly asking to check if they were compatible with one another. Thanks a lot for the feedback through, really appreciated.
