Can this build be better?

Are there any comparability issues with this build? I'm right about to purchase it and wanted to make sure first since it's my first custom in a while.

I want it to run BF3 at 1080p

More about build better
  1. It will all work together and play BF3 fine
  2. It won't directly affect BF3 much, but there are faster HDDs out there. The WD Black is one, the Seagate 7200.12 and Samsung Spinpoint F3 are two more.
  3. Quick question, I can use an AM3 chip on a AM3+ board?

Just not an AM3+ on an AM3?

Also does anyone know if an SSD is within my price range? I heard that if you fill more than half you lose performance. I'd have to fit Win 7 + BF3 so maybe like 128 GB just to avoid degradation?
  4. What is your price range ?

Corsair Force Series GT CSSD-F120GBGT-BK 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD $201.99 and free shipping.

As far as the processor goes the compatability is usually listed in the details tab on the page for the motherboard.
  5. If you are spending that much, why not try an i5-2500k build?

Agreed!!! And I am an AMD fan! The 2500 is a solid chip. Offers almost as much as a 2600 for around 100 less.
  7. So does the i3

i3 and i5 run BF3 the same to my knowledge. I think the i5 is overkill a bit for bf3, and the fx series is cheaper and should get me 1080p 60fps

i5 isn't overkill at all, I fear there may be a cpu bottleneck
