Hi as most of you will already know Novabench is a program/app also available as an app from the mac app store. It is a popular component benchmark application for Windows, and Mac OS X. It's the most convenient way to test and compare your system's hardware and graphics capabilities! It test the following· Floating Point Test - Tests CPU's floating point arithmetic speed

· Integer Test - Tests CPU's integer arithmetic speed
· MD5 Hashing Speed - General CPU test
· 3D Graphics Test - Tests GPU with a heavily shader dependent 3D scene
· RAM Speed - Tests RAM read and write speed
· Disk Write Speed - Test write speed of primary or selected storage device

you can also compare your scores with windows systems....

I scored

943

on my

iMac (iMac12,2)
Intel Core i5 @ 2700 MHz
4 GB - DDR3 @ 1333 MHz
AMD Radeon HD 6770M

will be interesting to see your scores

edit--closed most of the background programs--though it reads my cpu speed wrong at 3.6ghz

may have to agree with 384-Bit this test may not be totally accurate as he has a newer cpu architecture than mine at a higher clock speed as well so cant see how i can be outscoring him

and my hard drive can write a lot faster than this test is showing when i run atto on it

i think passmarks benchmark test may be a better test

anyway heres my score with all my background programs except the antivirus shut down

Splendid
Hmm... not bad for a 5 year old socket 775 machine
Not a accurate test as it can't detect my HD5850 while the GT240 card was present, have to physically remove my GT240 for the app to detect it.
Ran test a few times and here are the results

HD5850
