The ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Professional supports memory of only 1GB or 2GB sticks, above 1600MHz, I found that surprising. I thought 4GB sticks, were the new standard.

If my 4GB sticks don't work (G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866) then I will just buy something off the QVL.

Or do you think they will work at 1600MHz?

Try this. It may help.

Reset the CMOS memory the right way as is described in the motherboard manual using the clear CMOS link with the power cord unplugged.
And when the battery is out, press the power button to discharge all the electricity from the system.
