Solution C C Chainzsaw Jul 31, 2012 PCIE 3 cards are backwards compatible with PCIE 2 and 1 slots. There wouldn't be much of a gain going from PCIE 2 to PCIE 3. The real question is do you have a big enough power supply to handle a GTX 670?
