I have a Lenovo Desktop.. Its motherboard has 4 SATA ports and 1 IDE Port.. Initially the desktop had a SATAII hard disk and an IDE dvd writer, so i had no problems..
But, last month my hard disk got crashed.. I was on tight budget so i bought an IDE hard drive at a much less cost compared to a SATA II drive of same capacity(as you know the prices of sata2 hdd shoot sky high)

So, i removed the IDE cable and IDE power from my DVD writer and connected it to my New IDE HDD..
The problem now is, even though i have 2 IDE connecters in the same cable but, the other connector can't reach the back port of my dvd writer(as dvd writer is way in front and hdd casing is at the very back end of the Desktop cabinet)

So, i was helpless and had to keep my dvd writer not connected(sacrifice made to use the hard disk)
Now, i need my Dvd drive to read/write dvd's..
Is there any solution so that i can use both my hard disk as well as my Dvd writer at the same time ??? :(  :??:
