I just installed my EVGA GTX 570 GPU. At idle it runs at 40 % fan speed at around 40C. I played about 40 minutes of Metro 2033 and the max temp it reached was 82C with a fan speed of 58%. Is this a safe temperature or too hot? I have a Antec DF 85 case (7 chasis fans) and the settings on 2033 were maxed out with DirectX 11 and advanced Physics selected.
Thanks for any help!

I have my 570 o/c'd to 800mhz (i cant adjust voltage) and depending on the game runs between 50 and 75 degrees. I use MSI afterburner with a custom fan profile. My case has a 230mm fan on the side blowing on it also. For a small investment, you could probably improve airflow throughout the case and see a 10-15 degree drop in temps.

Nah, you shouldn't need to do anything. My 570 always runs at that temp (82-83), with a max of 85. Just do yourself a favor and don't worry about those temps :p Though if you overclock even a little, (voltage) you can see the temps will rise much higher, to the 90's! :p
