So, I'm buying an Asrock z77 extreme4 and I'm having some trouble finding a vendor in my country that sells RAM which is on the memory support list:
http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z77%20Extreme4/?cat=Memory

So, I'd like to know is whether it is imperative that the ram I buy be on that list. In general, not just for this specific build.

Also, I've found Corsair Vengeance Low Profile Blue 8GB (DDR3 ,2 4GB) (CML8GX3M2A1600C9B) being sold and Vengeance Low Profile (CML16GX3M4A1600C9B) is on the support list. Looking at the specs:

http://www.corsair.com/en/memory-by-product-family/vengeance/vengeance-low-profile-blue-16gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cml16gx3m4a1600c9b.html

and

http://www.corsair.com/memory-by-product-family/vengeance/vengeance-low-profile-blue-8gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cml8gx3m2a1600c9b.html/

respectively, I can't find any difference between the two. So, would what I plan to buy be OK?

The biggest difference between the two links you posted is that one is an 8GB kit and the other is a 16GB kit.

You can use any RAM even if it is not on the QVL. I've never had any isues with any good quality RAM in any of the boards I've built with. The QVL might be important if you are polpulating all of the slots with the fastest RAM the board is designed to accept... and O/Cing the memory.
