I recently purchased this GTS 450 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130573 ). I installed it to replace the 8800gt that came with the computer that I am using ( http://support.gateway.com/s/PC/R/1015336R/1015336Rnv.shtml ).
I have noticed that EVERYTHING on my computer stutters. That means the desktop and all applications on it stutter. I've run games like L4D2, StarCraft II, Crysis Warhead, and Unigine's Heaven benchmark. These games were tested on their lowest and highest settings. The stutter/lag was equal in every different setting variety. Sometimes the lag is better than at other times. On every stutter, the PC stops for at least a second, but sometimes up to a maximum of 10 seconds.
In addition to the stuttering, things take a very long time to load. Crysis Warhead took at least 3 minutes to load on "Gamer" settings. L4D2 took a good 3-4 minutes to load on the lowest settings.
1.) I'm wondering what the problem is.

2.) If you cannot determine an answer to question 1 from the information given, or any further information given, I would like to know what I can do in order to determine what the problem is.
