Hello, I'm having some weird problem with my newly built computer. The first boot up and couple others went fine, but sometimes when I boot it up the power cuts off on its side of the room. At first I thought it might be the power strip, but other wall sockets lose power too. Could it be my PSU? I've checked the troubleshoot boot up thread, but those problems don't seem to be the issue.

Specs

Intel Core i5-2400 Sandy Bridge
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
ASRock Z68 PRO3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 1TB
XFX Core Edition PRO550W

Stop checking the thread and actually do the steps please. Although, you can skip ahead to the breadboarding part. If that does not resolve your issue then try a different circuit in the house.

If it trip the other circuit and breadboarding didn't help, it's probably the PSU. You chose well but any part can be bad, including heavy PSUs that are easily damaged in shipping.
