When my notebook first loads up, before the Windows screen, there is a
Vaio screen that plays a sound. How do I disable this sound? I can't
start my PC in a meeting or other quiet enviornment because of this
sound.

In Sony Notebook Setup, on the Initial Settings tab, set Initial Volume to
Off.
