No sound after clean xp install. (realtek AC97)

Install the drivers then.

Open the Device manager from the Properties of my computer. Remove any Yellow triangles seen there by uninstalling the yellow triangle device. Then if you have the Mobo disc lying around, insert it and install the Sound Card Drivers and then the software if required.
Remember to choose the the AC97 as your primary sound device.
