Hello,

I have an older Dell D420 laptop (work computer) connected to a PLANAR PE 2010 monitor. I've been using the original cables since I've had the monitor (a little over 2 years) and was able to maintain a resolution of 1400x1050. I started up my laptop this morning & it's stuck at 1024x768. There is no option beyond this resolution. I uninstalled my drivers, installed the latest, rebooted, unplugged cables, tried different cables, etc. No luck. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Here's some info on the laptop/ vid card / display.

Solution
If there is a way to unlock all resolutions and not just the ones your laptop/monitor is capable of, see if that can be done and set it to what it was before and see what happens.

Try using another monitor, regardless of resolution and see what happens.
