I bought a card in the mail the other day, got it in the mails today, installed it and got the appropriate drivers. I started gaming, and two minutes in I started hearing a REALLY loud clicking noise. I looked in my computer and it sounded like it was coming from my 6870s fan. I checked in the card and I can't see anything stuck in it, and the sound only comes when the fan speeds are really high. Graphically, the performance is beautiful. Nothing is wrong with it besides the sound. Any suggestions?
Sounds like a disbalanced fan.You reuturn your card which I think would be the best option.
Or you might try to improve the ventilation of your cabinet by adding more fans.Your gpu will run cooler and it may stop screaming.
