Re-install BIOS drivers after Windows 7 is reinstalled?

Last response: in Motherboards

Hi Guys!

My question is; I need to Re-install windows, so i am secure erasing my SSD tonight, after i re-install windows, do i then need to Re-install the BIOS driver CD that came with the motherboard?

The driver CD had all kinds of business on it, USB Drivers, Chipset Drivers, Intel Drivers etc.

If i dont need to re-install, but do anyway, will it cause any issues anyway?

Any thoughts, help would be appreciated greatly!!!! : ) Thank you so much in advance : )

Those aren't related to the firmware (BIOS). Those are Windows drivers and yes you will need to reinstall them. However, they are usually out of date so I recommend getting the latest ones from the manufacturers website and storing them on a USB stick.

Before reinstaling OS it better to download lates driver of the hardware as pinhedd said.

Anything inside of CD that came with mobo/gpu/etc are in the manufacturer web and it usually newer/better/updated one..

After reinstalled don't forget run windows update for stability/issue fix
