Graphic cards

i´m about to buy a graphic card and I think i´m gonna get the sapphire radeon hd 5830.I don´t know exactly if this one is the right choice,i have a core 2 duo 2.66 and mb intel dg 43nb.

Could you help me,I live in Cuba and is very difficult to find info about this.
PS I look for things on the internet and then I ask my family to bouy and send the stuff to me here.

Hola BLX!

Well, the 5830 is a very good card for resolutions up to 1080p I'd say and your C2D should be sufficient for it to give 50+ FPS at 1080p or lower resolutions. How much memory (RAM) does your PC have?

it runs hot though, I would go with 5850 instead for much better performance and it's pretty cheap right now!

hello yuka you were very helpful,I already got the 5830 but now i´m concerned about the temperature.It gets hot.do you know what is the normal temperature for this card either playing or in idle.

You can post them here by looking at the Catalyst Control Center (or whatever it's called now XD) in the "overdrive" section. I'm sure more people can tell you if they're wrong/high or not.
