I'm in the market for a new SCSI Ultra2 drive (or actually a 160, since they all seem to be backwards compatible with my existing Wide Ultra 2 controller)

Up to this point, I've been a loyal Seagate Cheetah and Barracuda owner. However, after having a Cheetah fail, I'm thinking about goint with an Atlas II 10K which seems to be the fastest right now (excluding possibly the 15K Seagate).

What I would like to see is a real world comparison of 10K SCSI drive failure percentages from these manufacturers.

Or are all brands batting about the same?

Is a 10k drive more likely to fail than a 7200?
