i have a D-link modem &and a linksys router useing same ip address. need help crazy in sac town thank's JAMES......

  1. 192.168.1.1 is a private ip address

    they cannot be used as your external ip on your modem, the modem needs to be assigned a public ip address, and that is most likely a dhcp address issued from your service provider. You need to contact them for the appropriate information to configure the modem.
