Just finished building my first PC. Done prime 95 test for 5 hours never went over 45°C. Done memtest86 and got errors after 10 minutes . I am using 4 dimms of [ RipjawsX ] F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL. Is this compatible with my asus P8Z77 - V motherboard? I set all the timings and voltages to what is says on the packet and is currently on 2133mhz. Could it be my crappy $37 psu its the shaw 1000W.

My Specs are:

Intel® Core™ i5-3570K

ASUS P8Z77 - V

[ RipjawsX ] F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL ram

MSI N560GTX-Ti Hawk

Noctua NH-D14

G.Skill Turbulence II RAM Cooler FTB-3500C5-D

Seagate 2.0 TB, ST2000DM001-9YN164 - HDD

SHAW 1000W psu

Samsung S222BB 22x DVD

Lian Li Lancool First Knight PC-K63 Case

make sure your bios is up to date asus has some new cpu and ram code for the z77 mb. start out with two dimms in the a slots. (a1 and a0). run memtest on them. if they pass turn the computer off and switch them to the b slots. (make sure the slots on the mb are fine and the ram is working). if you get errors with two dimms swap them and see if the errors stop. with 4 dimms you could have one bad stick or you need to bumo the dimm voltage up a bit. one thing to try also is let the mb set the speed of the dimms under the ai dram xmp profile. alos make sure your fsb stays at 1:1 not 1:5

It turns out that one of the dimms is unstable or has errors dont know but it failed while others passed so thank you for your time
