Creating a Small LAN

Hi,

I currently have two pcs, Belkin 8 Port 10/100 Switch
One http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=136537,
one internet modem/SOHO router with 4 LAN ports.

I need to connect the modem and the pcs to the switch and share files, internet.

What kind of cable should I use for ---

Pc to belkin switch?
SOHO Router to swich?

Crossover or straight?

A friend of mine said that both straight or crossover will work as the switch/PC LAN Card can autosense the medium, is that true??

Auto-MDIx (I think) is what will do the auto-detecting. Stick with regular straight patch cables. Crossover cables are pretty much done and cost more to purchase.
