Mobo cant detect dvd-rom

Hi all, my old gigabyte 915md-gv mobo cant detect sata dvd rom with sata hdd. When installing two sata device, only hdd is working. So i flash bios to new one. Same thing. There is always dvd rom led blinking, like trying to read.
I switch the sata port with hdd. Same thing and so port is not an issue. Looks like bios is the issue. Sometimes bios show dvd rom as 'tssssssssssssssssss'(dont remember exactly).
Is there anything i can do by bios setting?
